The Message
Today I got a little booklet in the mail. It is titled, "The Message". It is a small book that share the Savior foretold, the Savior is born, and a Savior lives on. It has scripture throughout but also additional info.
The first chapter, The Savior Foretold.
The Righteous Branch: Jeremiah 23:5-6, A Child WIll Be Born to Us: Isaiah 9:2-7, A Righteous Judge:Isaiah 11:1-5, Behold My Chosen One: Isaiah 42:1-4, Your King Is Coming: Zechariah 9:9-10, A Virgin With Child: Isaiah 7:10-14, The Announcement to Mary: Luke 1:26-38, Elizabeth and Mary: Luke 1:39-56.
The second chapter, A Savior Is Born.
The Birth: Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 2:1-7, The Sheperds and Angels Came: Luke 2:8-20, Presentation in the Temple: Luke 2:21-38, The Visit of the Magi: Matthew 2:1-12
The third chapter, A Savior Lives On.
The Preeminent Christ: Colossians 1:15-23, Worth Is the Lamb: Revelation 5:1-14, The New Heaven and New Earth: Revelation 21:1-7.
I wanted to share this because it's the TRUE and REAL story of CHRISTmas. Our world was changed profoundly by the birth of a child. During Jesus' life on earth, He was fully human and wholly God! We often overlook the significance of Jesus during the busy holiday season. Yet, the season is not just about giving to others, parties, and fellowships. Those things are wonderful but we should be in constant worship to such an amazing Savior!! We should have THE BIGGEST BIRTHDAY PARTY ever!! I am going to make a birthday cake and decorate like crazy on Christmas day!! I can't wait! Praise God for sending a Savior to put his white robe over me and you!
